Erhai Lake flows between the foot of Cangshan Mountain and Dali Bazi. It is the second largest freshwater lake in Yunnan. It starts from Eryuan in the north, is about 42.58 kilometers long, 9.0 kilometers wide from east to west, and has an average lake depth of 10 meters. It is a quiet and beautiful plateau lake. Erhai is the location of "Erhai Moon", one of the four scenic spots of "Wind, Flowers, Snow and Moon" in Dali. It is said that it was named "Erhai" because it is shaped like an ear. Erhai Lake has excellent water quality and rich aquatic resources. It is also a scenic spot full of poetic and picturesque scenery.
