Leifeng Pagoda is also known as the Royal Concubine Pagoda and the Xiguan Brick Pagoda. It is located on the Leifeng Mountain of Xizhao Mountain on the south bank of West Lake, in front of the Jingci Temple at the foot of Rihui Peak of Nanping Mountain. Leifeng Pagoda was built by Qian Chu, the king of Wuyue, because of the birth of a son by his concubine Huang. It was originally named "Huangfei Pagoda".

Leifeng Pagoda is also known as the Royal Concubine Pagoda and the Xiguan Brick Pagoda. It is located on the Leifeng Mountain of Xizhao Mountain on the south bank of West Lake, in front of the Jingci Temple at the foot of Rihui Peak of Nanping Mountain. Because Leifeng was built on the spot, it was later renamed "Leifeng Pagoda". The old pagoda collapsed in 1924 and has been rebuilt. Leifeng Sunset is one of the ten scenic spots of West Lake. Zhu Bingren, the father of contemporary copper architecture in China, is the chief copper craftsman of the newly built Leifeng Pagoda, making this pagoda the first colored copper sculpture pagoda in China. Leifeng Pagoda is also famous for the legend of the White Snake imprisonment in "The Legend of the White Snake". Whenever the sun sets, the shadow of the pagoda crosses the sky, creating a unique scenery. Leifeng Sunset is one of the ten scenic spots of West Lake.
