The Lhasa River Basin developed accordingly and gradually became the political, economic, cultural, transportation and religious center of the Tibetan Plateau. The Lhasa River originates from the Kongma Valley in Jialili Pencuo La at the southern foot of the Nyainqentanglha Mountains. It flows through Nagqu, Dangxiong, Linzhou, Mezhugongka, Dagze, Chengguan, Doilungdeqen, and reaches Qushui County. It is a large tributary of the middle reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River, with a total length of 495 kilometers and a basin area of ​​31,760 square kilometers.
