Bell and Drum Tower Square

·Also known as Shangshu Provincial Square, it is located in the center of Xi'an, covering an area of 60,000 square meters, second only to Tiananmen Square in Beijing.
·This was once the seat of the Shangshu Province in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, and it was the highest administrative agency for executing national government affairs at that time.
·The 600-year-old Bell Tower stands on the east side of the square, and the largest Drum Tower in the country stands on the west side.
·On the north side of the square are famous time-honored stores such as Tong Shengxiang, Defachang, and Wang Haitang; below the square is the Century Golden Flower Shopping Center.
·When night falls, the lights of the musical fountain, bell tower and drum tower light up together, which is very spectacular.
