Tianmen Mountain, known as Yunmeng Mountain and Songliang Mountain in ancient times, is a mountain with a higher altitude in Yongding District, Zhangjiajie, only 8 kilometers away from the city. It is named after the natural wonder Tianmen Cave and was recorded in history earlier.

Tianmen Mountain, known as Yunmeng Mountain and Songliang Mountain in ancient times, is a mountain with a higher altitude in Yongding District, Zhangjiajie, only 8 kilometers away from the city. It is named after the natural wonder Tianmen Cave and was recorded in history earlier. The main peak is 1518.6 meters, and it was approved as a national forest park in July 1992. The top of the mountain is relatively flat and retains a complete original sub-forest with many extremely rare and unique plant species, with a forest coverage rate of 90%. There are towering ancient trees, tangled vines, moss everywhere, stalagmites and stone buds everywhere. Everything is like a natural bonsai, and it is known as a fairyland in the world.
