Inner Mongolia Museum is located in the center of Hohhot, at the east entrance of Xinhua Street. Sitting west and facing east, the main building is tall, the corridors on both sides are slightly lower, and there is a leaping white horse logo on the top of the building. Built in 1957, it has a construction area of ​​5,000 square meters and a display and exhibition area of ​​3,500 square meters. The museum is divided into four parts: 1. Exhibition of Inner Mongolia revolutionary cultural relics; 2. Exhibition of Inner Mongolia paleontology and ancient humans; 3. Exhibition of Inner Mongolia ethnic cultural relics; 4. Exhibition of Inner Mongolia historical cultural relics. The cultural relics of the Xiongnu, Donghu, Wuhuan, Xianbei, Turk, Khitan, Jurchen, Dangxiang, Mongolian and other ethnic groups account for an important proportion, including Xiongnu crown ornaments and belt ornaments, Xianbei noble step crown ornaments, Han Dynasty gilt and agate horse ornaments, Cultural relics such as the Pearl Dragon Robe are rare treasures. The cultural relics in the museum have distinctive national and local characteristics.
