The ancient city of Lijiang is built on the mountains, with streets and lanes following the water flow. The center is Sifang Street, which was the trading market of the Ancient Tea Horse Road. It extends to the four main roads of Guangyi Street, Qiyi Street, Wuyi Street and Xinhua Street. Together with the vertical and horizontal streets and alleys, it forms the current Lijiang Old Town. There are more than 300 ancient stone bridges in the city, which contrast with the Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings in the ancient city, forming a beautiful artistic conception of small bridges and flowing water with people living in it.
