Location

No. 6, Luobai Road, Luolong District, Luoyang, Henan Province

Reasons to visit

White Horse Temple was first built in the 11th year of Yongping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 68). It was a temple built by the government after Buddhism was introduced to my country. It has always been revered as the "ancestral court" and "source of Buddhism" in China. It is said that the name of the temple comes from the allusion of "white horse carrying sutra". The White Horse Temple has gone through many wars and been rebuilt several times. Today's White Horse Temple is not large, and there is no problem in walking around the panoramic area.
