Yangmei Ancient Town

Yangmei Ancient Town is located in the southwest of Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, only 36 kilometers away from the urban area of ​​Nanning. Highways, waterways and railways all pass through here. Yangmei Ancient Town was first built in the Song Dynasty and prospered in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. It has a history of more than a thousand years. From the establishment of the town to the Republic of China, it has always been a commodity distribution center with a range of nearly 100 kilometers. It was prosperous for a time and was known as "Little Nanning". Yangmei is a place in Nanning where the ancient buildings of Ming and Qing dynasties are relatively well preserved. The preserved cultural heritage is spread throughout the town. There are more than 200 of them, most of which are distributed in the streets and alleys of the ancient town. Some of the distinctive Ming and Qing residential houses are still intact, so it is also called "Yangmei Ancient Town" today.
