The year when the city building was built is unknown. According to the inscription on the Jinjing Tower rebuilt by Zhao Qiande of the Qing Dynasty written in the 23rd year of Emperor Qianlong's reign, it says: "First it was renovated by the governor Huang Gong (Ru Yu) in the 27th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign." "Over the decades, the tower has been "It was ruined", "Bingzi (1756) came to Siyi with his arms around Li Gong, and lamented that the building was about to collapse." In the second year, "the people of the city invited the Duke for the battle of Silou, and then gave him a stipend and selected the city." It took six months to complete, cost more than 400 taels, and employed more than 2,000 workers. The old statue of Guandi was erected to the south, and a new statue of Guanyin was erected to the north. The Kuiguang Pavilion on the top floor is a place for cultural tourism. "It has been restored to its new glory more than seventy years ago." At that time, the market building was so majestic and gorgeous in shape that it was dubbed "the golden well of the market building" and was praised as one of the eight scenic spots in the county. Over the years, the market buildings have added beauty to the ancient city with their tall and graceful shapes, sparse flat seats, brilliant glazed roof tiles, and exquisitely decorated brackets. In people's minds, the city wall and market buildings have become an inseparable whole and a symbol of the ancient city of Pingyao. After the Jiaqing, Daoguang, Tongzhi and Xuantong dynasties, it was continuously repaired and polished. The appearance of the building still exists today, and the majority of tourists are amazed by it. Climbing up the brick steps from the south and east sides, the middle floor is surrounded by a flat corridor. You can lean on the railing and overlook the whole city. People and cars pass by on the north and south streets. You can have a panoramic view of the storefronts and roof tiles. Surrounded by the city walls, the green mountains are faintly visible. Suddenly I felt broad-minded and my poetry flourished. Just as the poet Zhao Qiande of the Qing Dynasty said in his poem: "Watch the beautiful mountains in the southeast, follow the clear water in the northwest, look up at the changing smoke and clouds, and look down at the prosperity of the city."
