The Pingyao County Government Office is located in the center of the ancient city. It was first built in the Northern Wei Dynasty and finalized in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The earlier preserved building was dated to the sixth year of the Yuan Dynasty (1346) and has a history of more than 600 years.
