Wuwei Confucian Temple is located on Chongwen Street, Liangzhou District. It was first built in the fourth year of Ming Zhengtong (AD 1439) and has a history of more than 500 years. The Confucian Temple faces north to south and consists of three parts: Wenchangguan in the east, Confucian Temple in the middle, and Liangzhou Prefecture Confucian College in the west. The floor plan is rectangular, 198 meters long from north to south, 152 meters wide from east to west, and covers an area of 30,096 square meters. The entire building has a symmetrical layout and rigorous structure. It is a group of majestic palace-style buildings with a large scale and majestic momentum. It was dubbed as the "Crown of Longyou Academy" during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was a place where Liangzhou literati and poets worshiped Confucius. The Holy Land is currently the largest and best-preserved Confucius temple in the northwest region, and is one of the three largest Confucius temples in the country. The main attractions include Wenchang Palace, Shanmen, Chongsheng Temple, Dacheng Hall, Ji Gate, and Lingxing Gate. In 1996, it was announced as a national key cultural relic protection unit by the State Council, and in 2005, it was rated as an AAAA-level tourist attraction.
