The Niyang River is a large tributary located on the north side of the Yarlung Zangbo River and one of the five major tributaries in the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin. It originates from Cuomulangla on the west side of Mila Mountain, flows from west to east, and merges into the Yarlung Zangbo River near Zemen in Nyingchi County. Its source is a valley formed by the action of ancient glaciers. Scenic Spots There is a landscape called the mainstay of the Niyang River. The rock is like a square seal with a rubbing belt, the size of a villa, standing in the center of the rapids of the Niyang River. The river water hits this boulder, splashing a wave, rolling and surging, and rushing away. Tourists all get off the car here to watch, marvel, and take pictures. There are two views on the discussion and emotion of tourists about this boulder in the water. Some people say that this is the real mainstay, which is unmoved in the stormy waves. Others say that it blocks the tide and is ignorant of the times. History and Culture According to legend, the Niyang River is the sad tears flowing from the sacred mountain. The forest vegetation on both sides of the river is intact, the water is clear and contains little sand, and it is the "mother river" of the Gongbu people.
