Duola Mountain is located on the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, 63 kilometers east of Baima Town, Basu County, and has extremely convenient transportation. This sacred mountain is not very large. It is traditionally divided into the outer circle, the middle circle, and the inner circle. It takes about 4 hours to walk around the middle circle. Along the way, you can see the sky burial platform and various stone carvings. Climbing the main peak of Duola Mountain, you can have a bird's eye view of the beautiful scenery of the entire Duola Mountain. It takes no more than 2 hours to walk around the inner circle. This is the core part of Duola Mountain and the main attraction. On the way, you can worship and appreciate various Buddha statues, pagodas, six-character mantras and Tibetan prayers, mainly Guru Padmasambhava. There is also a small scripture hall in the Duola Col, which houses Buddha statues. The mystery of Duola Mountain lies in the fact that the limestone all over the mountain is engraved with Buddha statues and the six-character mantra. Due to its age and the long-term wind and rain, the weathering phenomenon is extremely serious, so it has long lost the imprint of artificial carving, which makes many people believe that these Buddha statues and the six-character mantra are naturally formed.
