Nujiang 72 Bends is located in Basu County, Qamdo Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is also located in the section from Qamdo Bangda to Basu on the Sichuan-Tibet South Line, also known as the "99 Bends of Sichuan-Tibet". Nujiang 72 Bends is not a tourist attraction, but almost all people who pass by here for the first time will stop for a while when they reach the commanding heights of the road. Nujiang 72 Bends starts from the lowest point at an altitude of 3,100 meters, climbs all the way to the highest point, Yela Pass, at an altitude of 4,651 meters, and then spirals down to Bangda Town at an altitude of 4,100 meters. It is about 12 kilometers long. As a must-go road on the Sichuan-Tibet South Line, for many riders or drivers, it is precisely because of its danger that it is more challenging. Every year, pedestrians passing by here are full of sighs for this road.
