Yuantouzhu

If you come to Wuxi, you must visit Taihu Lake, and if you visit Taihu Lake, you must go to Yuantou. The scenery of Yuantouzhu is natural and natural. The great contemporary poet Guo Moruo's poem "The best place in Taihu Lake is in Yuantou after all" has made Yuantouzhu's charm spread both domestically and overseas. The spring waves on the lake kiss the rocks, the clear water and the sky are of the same color: the high pavilion on the top of the mountain flutters its wings, and the solitary owl flies in the sunset. From a distance, you can see the hazy lake and the rising and falling of the bird islands; from a close view, you can see the green mountains and the vague pavilions. From morning to night, the scenery changes with rain and snow, and the taste is completely different. In mid-spring and April, the spring bridge is full of cherry blossoms, and the sky is high in autumn, and the orchids are fragrant and the small orchid pavilion has its own charm.

Yuantouzhu Scenic Area has a wide area and many beautiful views. You can first go to Shutian Pavilion on Luding Mountain and have a clear view in all directions, then go up to Yuantouzhu, where you can walk around the flower paths, wade barefoot on the low beach, or take a boat to ride the waves on the lake. Sit on the reef and meditate, go up to the tower to have a cup of tea, and appreciate the beauty of Taihu Lake's landscape. Then take a boat across the lake to explore the beautiful and magical Taihu Fairy Island. The water surface of Yuantouzhu is sparkling, flowers are in bloom, and green weeping willows. I feel like I am intoxicated in this beautiful spring scenery. There are so many flowers, including white cherry blossoms, red and white tulips, yellow daffodils, purple comfrey flowers, golden jasmine flowers, pink wood pen flowers, snow-white peonies, and pink and purple bauhinia flowers. The jasmine and comfrey flowers hang down like bells, and the flower core of the narcissus looks like a small trumpet. The wooden pen flowers are like the tips of the brushes.

The beautiful scenery of Yuantouzhu has been longed for by people a long time ago. During the Xiaoliang Dynasty, "Guangfu Temple" was built here, which was one of the "four hundred and eighty temples in the Southern Dynasties, with many towers in the mist and rain". In the early Ming Dynasty, "Taihu Lake rose in spring" was listed as one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Wuxi". At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Gao Panlong, the leader of the Donglin Party, often came here to ride the waves and chant, leaving the remains of "shading feet by Yuan Touzhu". There are many sung works by literati and refined scholars. In the late Qing Dynasty, Liao Lun, the magistrate of Wuxi, inscribed two cliff stone carvings on the cliffs near the lake, "Including Wu and Yue" and "Hengyun", which not only praised the majesty of Taihu Lake but also the broad-mindedness that nurtured Wu and Yue (now Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces). , also contains a pertinent evaluation of the scenery of this place that fully embraces the beauty of Wuyue's mountains and rivers.
