In December 2006, after two consecutive days of careful and lively discussions among more than 60 national celebrities in the fields of culture, architecture, art, cultural heritage, and arts and crafts, as well as eminent monks and Buddhist experts in the Buddhist community, a consensus was basically reached on China’s contemporary Buddhist culture. The Art Expo Preparatory Meeting and the China (Lingshan) Contemporary Buddhist Art Museum Preparatory Seminar concluded successfully. "The never-ending 'Chinese Contemporary Buddhist Culture and Art Expo'" has become the construction orientation of Lingshan Brahma Palace. The goal of building Lingshan Brahma Palace into a museum of contemporary Chinese Buddhist art was determined. After more than two years of construction, the third phase of the Lingshan Scenic Area project was completed, and a beautiful Buddhist architectural complex was presented to the world. On November 23, 2008, the Lingshan Buddhist Palace, which integrates culture, art, tourism, conferences and other functions, officially opened its doors.
